In 1878 the founder of Noritake, Baron Ichizaemon Morimura established an import goods shop, "Morimura Brothers" in New York, seeking free trade. _____________________________ Noritake, besides being "one of the largest general tableware manufacturers in the world," is also "the only general manufacturer of grinding and polishing in Japan." Noritake has accumulated technology and know-how through tableware production, which have supported the colorful diversification of their business. Pottery, Ceramics, Porcelain, China, Collector Plate, Art China, Ceramic Paintings, Offering for sale a magnificent hand painted cake plate. It features a background of delicately shaded tones of taupe-gray with pink roses and buds, leaves of various shades of green, other flowers. On the back is marked "Noritake “M” Hand Painted, Japan".
